Mousey's Hummus

Introduction

This is easy on calories and sodium!
***Important note: the 1 hour cook time is because its best if refrigerated 1 hour after making!

*This is the only Hummus my son will eat and I make it once maybe 2x a week!

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 19oz can Chick Peas (Ceci), drained & rinsed
    3 Tbsp Tahini
    1/4 C Lemon Juice (juice from 1 lemon)
    1/4 tsp Salt
    2 cloves Garlic, minced & pressed with the salt
    1/2 tsp Cumin - ground
    1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
    1/4 C Water

Tips

*I add the items according to listing because it seems to make it easier to blend, for me.
* When adding any dry spices (to anything) rub them with your fingertips to wake them up.

Directions

In a blender add:
Chick Peas
Garlic (with salt)
Tahini
Cayenne
Cumin
Lemon Juice
Pulse this a few times to start it blending. Add Water and Blend about 3-5 minutes until desired consistency.
Pour into a container (makes about 2.5 Cups) and sprinkle with Dried Parsley.

Serving Size: 10 1/4-cup
