Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Submitted by: BLOOMY59Introduction
These cookies are amazing! They taste like a guilt-ridden, calorie-laden dessert, but they're actually better for you than a typical chocolate chip cookie. These cookies are amazing! Ingredients
-
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Tips
Be careful not to over-bake the cookies as they will continue cooking once taken out of the oven. Letting them bake just until they're barely set is key to having chewy cookies.
Directions
Preheat oven to 375* F. In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside. In another, larger, bowl, combine the butter, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Add all of the dry mixture to the wet mixture at once and stir just enough to combine and then gently fold in the chocolate chips. Drop the mixture onto an ungreased baking sheet (you should get about 24 cookies once done) and bake for 6 minutes. The center of the cookie should look barely cooked at all (just no longer completely raw in the center) and let them sit on the baking sheet for 2-4 minutes once removed from the oven before removing to cooling racks.
