4 cloves of garlic,
Pack of Seitan,
Pint of guinness,
Cup of broth,
Passata or 2 cups of fresh cherry tomatoes,
Cup of vegetable stock/broth,
Tablespoon tomato paste,
Herbs to taste. Thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano, herbs de provence, anything you like.
Fresh parsley added at the end.
Salt and pepper.
Guinness is filtered using a product make from fishbone.
It doesn't contain any of the product, but it is a personal choice as to weather or not you consider it vegetarian.
You can use another suitable red wine, or beer. If you so wish.
2. Chop the other vegetables, and put into the slow cooker.
3. Add the contents of the frying pan, and liquids. Herbs, tomato paste and seasoning. If you find some vegetarian Worcestershire sauce add a tablespoon.
4. Cook on high for 5-6 hours. Adding the chopped seitan and leave for another 30 minutes.
5. Serve with chopped parsley.
