Introduction

Yummy and surprisingly low-cal meatballdish with loads of protein Yummy and surprisingly low-cal meatballdish with loads of protein
Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    250g minced meat
    250g turkey breast
    1 large bell pepper
    3 cloves of garlic
    3 small onions
    2 carrots
    1 egg
    1.5 Tbs breadcrumbs
    1 lime
    2 cm of ginger, grated
salt, pepper, kumin, chili flakes, tyme, paprika powder

Tips

you can use these as a snack or side dish, or you just eat two for dinner.

Directions

mix the minced meat with the egg and breadcrumbs. Add abou 1 tsp of salt, pepper a pinch of tyme and paprika powder, some chili flakes and a good tsp of kumin powder.
let that set for a couple of minutes. Meanwhile you can prepare the marinade for the turkey. Cube the meat in about 2cm squares (I got 15). Grate the lemon zest and ginger, mix that with a little salt and pepper and some chili flakes. Press out the lime juice and mix everything together. Stir in the meat and mix every once and a while. After that, you can peel and half the onions if they're small, r quater them if they're a little bigger. Slice the bell pepper in cubes and the carrot in 2 cm bits. Don't slice it too small.
Roll the minced meat mass into 15 meatballs. Take a kebab stick and stick the vegetables and meat onto them.
Put in the preheated oven and bake on grill for about 15-20 min. at 200C. Make sure you have a saucepan or at least some tin foil under the roast, because the kebabs will lose some fat and water and you don't want to have to scrub that out of your oven, do you?

Serving Size: I got 9 kebabs, but feel free to mix them up as you wish
