Hubby loves it with pickles - the dill makes it a perfect match.
Ingredients
-
Base:
1 cup flour
1 egg
0.25 cup soybean oil (or canola oil)
Pinch salt
Filling:
125g Bulgarian cheese
250g (1 tub) 5% cottage cheese
1 egg
1 tablespoon dried dill
dash of pepper
2 tablespoons white flour (listed as 0.2 cup for the nutrition calculation)
Tips
Instead of 250g cottage cheese, you can use 125g cottage cheese and 125g 5% white cheese (I couldn't find it in the foods list...). Add some mustard powder if you like it. Personally I don't think you need to add grated yellow cheese, there is enough protein there to satisfy you.
Probably good if you add onions or tomatoes, and i've used potato flour in the filling mix instead of regular flour with no ill effects.
Directions
Mix all the filling ingredients - beat well together. Spread on top of the base.
Cook in 180 degC oven (350 deg F) for 30-45 minutes, till it becomes nice and brown.
Serving Size: makes about 6 nice-size servings
Number of Servings: 6
