Shrimp and Broccoli with Water Chestnuts
Submitted by: MICHELLE_391Introduction
I needed something quick and healthy and I just came up with this, recipe calculator in hand, using ingredients I had at home. I needed something quick and healthy and I just came up with this, recipe calculator in hand, using ingredients I had at home.Number of Servings: 1
Ingredients
-
Shrimp, cooked, 4 oz (remove)
Light Soy Sauce, 2 tbsp (remove)
Dynasty Oyster flavored Sauce, 1 tbsp (remove)
Garlic, 3 cloves
Smart Balance, Smart Balance Light Buttery Spread, 1 Tbsp
Broccoli, fresh, 245 grams
Lime Juice, 1 wedge
Water chestnuts, 0.5 cup slices
Corn Starch, 3/4 tsp
Tips
I found this tasty, but a little too salty. I'd decrease the soy sauce to 1Tbsp.
Directions
Heat non-stick wok or frying pan on a low light and add shrimp - frozen. Cook until melted. (about 3 minutes.)
Add broccoli and garlic and saute for a minute or two. Then add the water chestnuts.
Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, "butter"and lime juice and stir fry for about 5 minutes. You don't want to overcook the shrimp or make the broccoli wilty. Or at least I didn't.
When everything is cooked to your liking, add the corn starch and mix in until the sauce thickens up. (Before you put the corn starch in, the dish will be somewhat watery.)
Serving Size: Makes one serving
