    400 g minced meat
    1paprika diced (100 g)
    1 onion diced (100 g)
    1 slice bread (approx. 50 g)
    50 ml of skimmed milk
    1 egg
add salt, pepper, paprika spice etc. for your liking
soak bread in milk and add
mix all together (best with your hand)

    dice cheese in cubes

use table spoon to portion, form balls, put cheese cube into middle.

beat left over egg on plate, roll meat ball in egg and then in bread crumbs, fry in pan (with the oil) until done.

    makes 12

Tips

I usually top frying with water to keep meatballs moist and to avoid burning. Never put extra oil in.
balls taste also very good as left overs cold on bread with mustard

Directions

  • My kids and I loved the idea of cheese inside the meatball, but I did not want to fry them, so I made a baked version instead (30 mins at 400 degrees). These are a fun idea and a hit with the kids. :D - 5/22/14
