Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes

Introduction

Best homemade sloppy joes! Best homemade sloppy joes!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 lbs ground lean turkey
    1 onion, diced
    1 green bell pepper, diced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 can tomato paste
    1 cup diced tomatoes (more if you like it tomatoey)
    1 cup water (if putting in slow cooker)
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup ketchup
    2 tsp mustard
    3 TBSP soy sauce
    1 -2 TBSP Worchestire sauce
    crushed red pepper flakes (to your liking)
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp paprika


Tips

Does not need to cook in slow cooker. Can be made on stove top. The flavors are more married if in slow cooker.


Directions

Brown ground turkey with onion and garlic. Add to slow cooker and then add all other ingredients. Cook on high for 3-4 hours. Serve with your favorite rolls or buns.

Serving Size: Makes 8 1-cup servings
