Crazy Cake

Introduction

Chocolate Cake with an Amazing Frosting! My mom's amazing recipe. Chocolate Cake with an Amazing Frosting! My mom's amazing recipe.
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    Crazy cake
    3C flour
    2 tsp Soda
    2C sugar
    1/3 C cocoa
    1 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Vanilla
    2 TB Vinegar
    3/4 C Oil
    2 C. Water

    Filling
    2.5T Flour
    .5C Milk
    .5C Butter
    .5C Sugar

    Frosting
    2TB Cocoa
    1//4 C milk
    2 TB white Karo syrup
    1/2 C Butter or margarine
    1C sugar
    1 tsp vanilla

Tips

Bring all ingredients to room temperature before using.


Directions

Cake:
Mix all ingredients until well blended Bake at 350' 9 X 13 pan 30 min, or round layers 20-25 min. until toothpick comes out clean


Filling:
2 1/2 TB flour and 1/2 C milk, cook in sauce pan until thick paste ( don't use skim milk does not thicken) Cool thoroughly. Then add 1/2 C Butter or margarine, 1/2 C Sugar, Beat until smooth and fluffy. Spread on cooled cake.. I usually double this.



Serving Size: 1 Cake cut into 16 pieces
