Strawberries, Fresh in light syrup

Ingredients

    Strawberries, fresh, 4 pint as purchased, yields
    Granulated Sugar, 1/3 cup
    Water to cover

Directions

Rinse and snip tops and blemishes then slice into desired size pieces and place in medium sized bowl with tight fitting cover. Sprinkle with sugar and add enough water to cover completely. Cover bowl and place in refrigerator overnight.

Serving Size: Makes About 12 Half-cup Servings
