Easy marinade, and short cook time.
Number of Servings: 4
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast 6 tbsp fat free Caesar Italian dressing 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1/4 cup shredded, fresh parmesan cheese 1 box whole wheat pasta, any shape
Place chicken breast in a 1 gallon zipper freezer bag. Pour dressing over the chicken and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. After marinade time is up, take chicken out of fridge, and place on counter top. Start water to boil, according to pasta box directions. While water comes to a boil, heat oven safe pan for chicken to medium high heat with oil. Take chicken out of freezer bag and brown in the pan, no need to cook all the way through. Add pasta to water, and cook according to directions. While pasta cooks, top chicken with parmesan cheese, and put in the 375*F oven until cooked thoroughly, and cheese is melted. Serve on top of cooked pasta, and ENJOY!!!!
Made this last night on the grill after marinating for about 30 mins. Omitted extra olive oil and pasta, and served hot on a bed of spinach. The grated cheese REALLY adds to the flavor. Delicious! Drizzled a little more dressing on top and served with brown rice.
I'm not so sure about this. I made it & there was no flavor in the pasta. It was so bland. The chicken was pretty good. I added Italian dressing to the pasta just so I could eat it. I would make the chicken again with different sides.
This certainly doesn't taste like you are trying to lose weight. The only problem when something tastes so good is portion control! At first I was a bit worried what the caesar dressing would do when browned. It (along with the parmesan) acts like a really tasty crust. I will definitely make again!
This sounds scrumptous and I will definitely try this. The calories actually aren't high depending on the person's nutrition and workout plasns. For instance Spark's for my dinner have me on a 500 - 600 calorie plan on certain days. Don't let the calories scare you. In order to lose u have 2 eat!
No pasta for me, but I have cooked chicken in the oven with both Caesar dressing and Ranch. Everytime I cooked with either of these dressing, I get echoes for seconds. I scan the recipes because I am not an interesting or great cook, but my family survives.
I have never rated a recipe before, but this one is pretty high in calories. Now reading that all the recipes on this site don't have to be healthly kinda just turned me off. I thought this was all about being healthly. Counting calories is working best for me.
i acutally make a similar recipe with chicken, pasta, greek dressing, tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, red onions & feta cheese. You could add olives if you like them too! It's yummylicious and you can add as many veggies as you want to it!
Very good, I did read some of the other comments and added some dressing to the pasta. I never thought of using pasta for a base. I love Chicken Ceaser salad, and I will be try cooking the chicken on the grill.
This sounds good but I agree with several comments made about the hi calorie & fat count - to cut down on it I will cook chicken on grill and not have to use oil and serve it on salad or bed of spinach & brown rice or salad, Thanks for the idea tho because chicken is our main protein in our house
The chicken was delicious. Used boneless skinless thighs and came up with a calorie count of 133.4 per piece with 5.2 fat grams, 4.3 carbs, and 17 grams protein. Served on a bed of lettuce with plum tomato, red, onion, and lowfat parmesan peppercorn dressing made for a delicious low cal meal.
This sounds delicious, but in my life not worth the calories. I would make it using no oil and substitute a great big (really-really big), bowl of mixed salad greens w/mushrooms & tomatoes for the pasta. This would cut hundreds of calories off and still be filling. I put EVERYTHING on a green salad!
