Nana's Homemade Creamed Chicken

Introduction

I wanted a quick, low-cost meal & this is what I came up with. Very easy. I wanted a quick, low-cost meal & this is what I came up with. Very easy.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    5 chicken breasts (cut into bite sized pcs, optional)
    1 10oz can of cream of chicken soup
    10 oz of 1% milk (one can)
    1.5 oz of cream cheese, softened
    1/2 tsp Mrs Dash Garlic Blend
    sprinkle of Celery Seed
    Pam Olive Oil Spray

Tips

I used regular cream of chicken soup- and it was v-e-r-y salty. I also steamed some fresh green beans and put some Lemon Pepper & Mrs Dash in my rice, and served the chicken mixture over those. Next time I'm going to use low-salt soup, and maybe add some sauteed mushrooms, red peppers, and julienned carrots, too (which you'll have to add to the calorie count). Can't wait.


Directions

Spray reg fry pan with Pam & brown. After browned, mix blend soup, milk, & softened cream cheese and pour over chicken. Sprinkle Mrs Dash & Celery Seed. Simmer until hot. Serve over rice and vegetable. Yum!
