Introduction

Ingredients

    marinade:

    1/4 C nonfat greek yogurt
    1 T lemon juice
    1/4 tsp tumeric
    2 oz serving of seitan

    Sauce:

    1 tsp olive oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 green onion chopped
    1 tsp ginger paste
    1/2 T Zamouri Spices brand Tikka Masala Seasoning
    1/4 cup diced fresh tomatoes
    2 oz canned tomato sauce
    1 T tomato paste
    1/4 C FF Half & Half
    1 T chopped fresh cilantro

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, and tumeric. Stir in seitan, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

2. Preheat a grill or pan for high heat.

3. Lightly oil the grill grate. Thread seitan pieces onto skewers, heavily coated in marinade and discard rest of marinade. Grill until lightly browned.

4. Place oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic for 1 minute. Season with tikka seasoning, green onion, and tomatoes. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste and ginger paste. Simmer on low heat until sauce thickens, about 10 minutes. Add half and half, simmer five minutes more. Add grilled seitan, and simmer for 5 minutes more. Transfer to a serving platter, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
