Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream, organic - Secura maker (MBG)

Ingredients

2 cups organic strawberries, sliced
(mash/ macerate after measuring)
3 Tbsp. fresh organic lemon juice
1/2 cup organic sugar
1/2 Tbsp. organic pure vanilla extract
2 cups organic heavy whipping cream
1 cup organic whole milk.
Tips
Directions
Mash/ macerate strawberries well, then add sugar, stirring to mix well. Stir in lemon juice. Set aside (refrigerate) at least 2 hours.
Remove 1/2 of strawberries and reserve. Stir in cream, milk, and vanilla. Pour strawberry-cream mixture into freezer container (32 ounce max on ours) and freeze according to directions.
Stir in reserved berries about 5 minutes before freezing completed.
Transfer ice cream from maker to lidded container; place in freezer to firm.
Serve
Serving Size: Makes about 4.5 cups - or 18 servings (1/4 cup).
