Quick, yummy cake that doesn't need to be frosted. Quick, yummy cake that doesn't need to be frosted.
Number of Servings: 10


    1 Butter recipe yellow cake mix, prepared as directed
    1 10 oz tub of frozen strawberries, sweetened, thawed


Using fresh berries, you can control the amount of sugar added. Slice or dice them very small.


Prepare and bake cake as directed on box. Set aside to cool - about 45 minutes. Use this time to thaw the frozen berries if needed. DO NOT DRAIN THE JUICE.
Once cooled, poke holes into the top of the cake with a table knife.
Spread the thawed berries over the top of the cake, letting the juice run into the holes and around the edges.

Serving Size: makes 10 2x2 inch pieces
