IntroductionI have found that my very favorite dessert lately is cooked apples (and as I post this, it's summer.. so that just tells you this isn't a seasonal thing.. it's a DELICIOUS thing!). 3 Large Apples, cored, chopped
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp Country Crock Light Spread
1/2 cup of Yoplait or other low-fat Greek yogurt Vanilla flavor = YUM! (NOT included in calorie calculation as I change up my topping each time but keep the apples the same).
I like to cover them while they cook and then for a few minutes after to allow the apples to cool a bit before I serve or else, I'm so eager, I tear into them and burn my tongue! LOL
When topped with low-fat vanilla yogurt.. tastes like apple pie ala mode! SO freakin' delicious!
For "crunch" you could also add a bit of granola, a few almonds, or a crushed graham cracker. Just make sure to track it! :) These apples do NOT need it. Yum!!!!
