Balsamic Grilled Chicken Breast

Ingredients

8-4oz Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast (Fresh or Frozen)
1 cup water
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
4 tsp dried onion flakes
3 tsp italian seasoning
3 tsp ground mustard
2 tsp thyme
2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
Directions
Mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, italian seasoning, thyme, salt, pepper and onion flakes in 1 gallon resealable plastic bag along with 8 -4oz boneless/skinless chicken breast (frozen or fresh). Allow chicken to marinate for at least 1/2 hour. Heat grill place chicken on grill and sear both sides. Then cook until the meat is white through-out or at an internal temp of 180 degrees farenheit.

I do not have a grill, but liked the recipe and followed it exactly and instead of grilling, after marinade for about 2 hours, I baked the chicken with all of the marinade for about 40 minutes on 350. Don't know what that did to the nutritional value, but it was terrific. I will make this often! - 2/11/08

My wife did not care for this because she couldn't taste the balsamic. I, on the other hand, loved the taste that the ground mustard gave to this. One issue - the recipe doesn't include the water or the mustard. I assumed it was also supposed to be included with everything else and was correct. - 10/29/08

I made this last night. I only used half the olive oil and a little less than half the black pepper. I'm glad I cut back on the black pepper. My son liked the first few bites, but then decided it was too spicy for him. I thought it was perfect for me, and would probably not have liked it as is. - 2/8/08

i havn't tried this version but i make something similar which is yummy... you mix in a spoon of honey to the balsamic vinegar aswell as finely chopped chilli peppers and crushed garlic and marinade the chicken for aslong as your willing to wait!!! cook tiil it goes a lovel dark glazy colour - 2/4/08
