3 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups granulated sugar
6 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups water
3/4 cup unsweetened pear sauce (applesauce can be substituted)
2 tbsp. white or cider vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla extract.
