Garbanzo Smoothie

1 cup unsweetened soy milk
3/4 cup peeled garbanzo beans rinsed and drained
2 med. pre-chopped peeled frozen bananas
3 ice cubes
1 cup applesauce unsweetened
1 cup frozen cubed mango
1 capful vanilla extract (guessing it's 1/2 tsp cause small)
Tips
I kept adding fruit to try to cover the bean flavor. Next time I will use 1/2 cup soy milk, add nutritional yeast and yellow curry and forget the fruit. That's what I wanted to do in the first place.
The measurement of the beans is what was left in the can after removing 1 cup to put into the spaghetti sauce instead of noodles. ;-)
Directions
Rinse and drain beans
peel by pinching in fingers, if peel won't come off, discard that bean
Blend beans in soy milk several minutes to make smooth
gradually add remaining ingredients through lid while blending (except for applesauce)
stop blender remove lid add applesauce replace lid and continue as above
When thoroughly mixed, is done.
Serving Size: makes 4 one cup servings
