Microwave "Baked" Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal

Introduction

Quick, easy, and delicious...this is for those of us who prefer oatmeal in a more cake-like form...and who doesn't love cake? Quick, easy, and delicious...this is for those of us who prefer oatmeal in a more cake-like form...and who doesn't love cake?
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/2 cup oatmeal
    1 small egg
    1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/8 cup chopped walnuts
    1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon


Tips

You can customize this in countless ways. Use 1/2 mashed banana in place of applesauce or add dried fruit or nut butter or coconut or chocolate chips. It's also good with almond extract and almonds in place of cinnamon and walnuts. The only essentials are the oatmeal and egg, so experiment and enjoy!


Directions

Mix oatmeal and egg in a small bowl or large mug. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Microwave for 2 minutes.
