Taco Pie

Ingredients

    1 roll Pillsbury crescent dough, reduced fat
    2 cups tortilla chips, crushed
    1 lb. extra lean ground beef
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 pckg. taco seasoning
    1/2 cup water
    1 cup (8 oz) fat free sour cream
    1 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese

Tips

Can substitute for ground turkey to reduce calories.

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F.

Unroll dough, separate triangles and press into bottom of glass pie plate. Add 1 cup crushed chips to bottom. In large nonstick skillet cook beef, onion, and peppers till meat is browned and vegetables tender.

Add seasoning and water; stir. Remove from heat and add sour cream; stir. Put meat mixture on top of dough and chips in pie plate. Cover with grated cheese and remaining crushed chips.

Bake at 350F for 20-30 minutes until cheese is melted.

Serving Size: Makes 6 slices
