gluten free cheeseburger mac

Ingredients

    8 oz ground beef ( I used 80/20, but can use lean or turkey)
    11/2 t. dried onion flakes
    13/4 cup water
    1/2 cup ketchup(I used low sugar)
    1t yellow mustard
    6 oz rice pasta
    3 oz velveeta (can use lower fat)

Tips

Rice pasta can take a bit longer to cook, so keep track of cooking times and may need extra liquid so the dish doesn't become to dry.


Directions

Brown ground beef and onions in a skillet, drain well. Whisk together water, ketchup and mustard in a bowl. Pour over the beef mixture, and bring to a boil
Add the macaroni and turn down the heat to a simmer.
Cover and simmer 10-12 minutes or until the macaroni is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed. Stir in cubed velveeta until the cheese is melted and evenly distributed.
