Introduction

Yummy scones, these are relatively low in fat and calories if you can eat just one! We sometimes eat them for breakfast with a fruit or for a treat! Yummy scones, these are relatively low in fat and calories if you can eat just one! We sometimes eat them for breakfast with a fruit or for a treat!
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter, chilled and sliced
    2 Lg. eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. plain yogurt (whole milk) or sour cream
    1/2 c. mini chocolate chips

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 400. In a large bowl mix sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and flour. Then using a pastry blender or two knives, cut in the butter. In a separate bowl beat together eggs and yogurt. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and add chocolate chips. Mix well. Place onto cookie sheet by heaping Tbsp. and place in a hot oven. Bake for about 15 mins. Cool on a wire rack and store in an air tight container at room temp.

Serving Size: makes 20-24 scones
