Introduction

home made cheez its, SUPER easy! calories are about the same as brand name cheez its, but protein is doubled and carbs are cut in half. yay! everything in moderation, right? :) home made cheez its, SUPER easy! calories are about the same as brand name cheez its, but protein is doubled and carbs are cut in half. yay! everything in moderation, right? :)

Ingredients

    white flour, cheddar cheese (sharp is best), butter, salt, dry or powdered mustard, and cold tap water (1 tablespoon), oven at 350 degrees.

Directions

put all ingredients (except the water) in a food processor. pulse until chunky or crumbly. Add in the water and pulse a little bit more. preheat your oven now (to 350), and put the mix in a plastic baggy in the freezer for 10-15 minutes (don't let it freeze all the way!). Roll out as thin as possible and cut into squares. I rolled mine out on a silpat and separated them just a little. they don't really spread at all. bake until they start to brown a little. its hard to burn these, but undercooked is no good.

Serving Size: makes a bowlfull!
