Introduction

This is an extra lean low salt burger patty with added veggies that I use as a main dish due to diet restrictions. Taste may easily be altered with different seasoning This is an extra lean low salt burger patty with added veggies that I use as a main dish due to diet restrictions. Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    1/2 Lb. 97% lean ground beef
    1 slice toasted whole wheat bread , ground into crumbs
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp salt free all purpose seasoning (taco seasoning can also be used)
    Pam spray (enough to coat skillet
    2 medium slices of raw onion separated into rings
    4 oz. sliced mushrooms

Tips


Directions

mix first four ingredients well.
Spay the bottom of a covered skillet with cooking spray.
layer onion and mushroom into skillet.
divide beef mixture into three parts and press to desired shape ( the size may be altered if so desired to smaller patties) Place patties on top of the onion/mushroom combo. Cook covered on medium heat until thoroughly done. ( Serves 3 dependent upon size of patties)

Serving Size: makes 3 ample sized burgers
