caryn's chicken pasta alfredo

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 cups whole wheat pasta of your choice
    2 tbs butter
    2 tbs flour
    1 cup non fat milk
    1/2 cup parmesan cheese
    a dash or 2 of garlic powder
    1 tbs green peppers chopped
    1/2 tbs scallions chopped
    3 oz. chopped chicken

Directions

cook pasta to your preference
melt butter in sauce pan
whisk in flour
add milk on low heat
add peppers
app scallions
whisk often to kkep form sticking or burning on bottom.
cook on lower heat till thickens up
add cheese and chicken and stir on low to medium until blended and melted to a nice saucey state.... maybe be thick.. feel free to thin with a little mor emilk.. but watch it so it doesn't thin out too quick.

it makes 4-1/4 cup serving of sauce to top 4-1 cup servings of pasta.
