Grilled Stuffed Mushrooms

Introduction

If you like stuffed mushrooms this is a slightly heather way to enjoy them. Adding the Red Bell Pepper is a nice twist. Grill bell peppers give it the fire roasted flavor. Ingredients


    12 Extra Large Button Mushrooms, fresh
    1/2 cup Onions, raw, very finely chopped)
    1/2 cup Red Bell Peppers, fresh, very finely chopped
    3 Garlic cloves
    2 Tbsp Olive Oil
    2 Large Red Bell Peppers, cut in half
    1/2 cup Progresso Bread Crumbs - Italian Style
    2 cups (1 8oz package) Kraft Italian Five Cheese

Tips


Directions

In a skillet saute until tender onions, 1/2 c chopped red bell peppers, add chopped mushroom stems. Set aside to cool a bit, you do not want them to hot when you mix the cheese in.

In a bowl mix cheese and bread crumbs, then add cooled saute mixture.

Stuff Mushroom and 4 red bell pepper halves with mixture. Pack firmly so that the mix stays put when cooking on the grill. cook on low heat on grill until tender 10-15 minutes.
