Shish Kabob

Ingredients

    2 lbs. beef (cubed)
    1/3 c. olive oil
    8 small onions-cut in half
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 cup red wine or vinegar
    garlic
    1 bay leaf
    1 onion - quartered
    Salt and Pepper to taste
    4 med. Tomatoes- quartered


Tips

The onions that are halved will be cooked. The one that is quartered will be tossed out when done with the marinade. It is just for flavor.


Directions

Prepare marinade by mixing oil, wine, quartered oinion, bay leaf, oregano, salt and pepper. Add meat and vegetables. Refrigerate for two hours at least. Over night is better. Skewer and bake, broil, or grill. Serve over rice with homos and grape leaves if you have the time.
