Introduction

I am experimenting with subbing hi maize resistant starch for some of the flour in my standard pizza crust in an effort to reduce the glycemic index and reduce the calories. Ingredients

    Ingredients:

    Hi Maize Resistant Starch Honeyville 1 cup, 100 gram
    *Flour, White Whole Wheat, 1 cup
    *Leavening agents, baking powder, low-sodium, 0.5 tsp
    Water, tap, 2 cup
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Granulated Sugar, 2 tsp
    Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
    Dry Yeast 1 tablespoon.
    Spaghetti Sauce 1/2 cup
    Mozzarella Cheese 2 cups
    peppers, red large 1
    onion 1/2 cup
    mushrooms 8 large
    black olives 15 small
    pepperoni 30 pieces

Directions

Use all the ingredients to make the dough in a bread machine. Depending on the day, add a little more flour or water so that the dough forms a ball. Today it was water.
Roll out dough and place on large pizza pan. Spread spaghetti sauce and cheese. Add toppings. Bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes or until crust is krispy and cheese melted.
