IntroductionI wanted a lower card meal with lots of flavor, that my whole family would love. I wanted a lower card meal with lots of flavor, that my whole family would love.
2 pkg of lawry's marsala seasoning - equals 8 servings
2pk of fresh mushrooms sliced
4 chicken breasts, thawed
Philadelphia cooking cream - I used italian herb and cheese
2 tbsp (or to taste) of balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp (or to taste) of cooking wine, all I had was rice cooking wine and it turned out GREAT!
Chopped onion and chopped garlic to taste. i put about 2tbsp of each.
pk calls for cooking oil for the chicken, but I ommitted that. :D
For the rest of the fam, I fixed rice to put the chicken and sauce on... for me, i mushed some firm tofu with a fork and heated it in the microwave for a minute. THEN, I didn't miss the extra to go with teh sauce. :D
I put it under kid dishes, cuz ... well, my husband ate it and he's my extremely picky eater. My 11yo and 18yo loved it. :D
I added some italian flavored diced tomatoes that were really nice, but it added extra carbs, so next time I won't.
I then removed them from the pan, and added the chopped mushrooms. I added the seasoning packages, onion, garlic and stirred it all together.
I stirred occasional, to help it not stick. When shrooms were tender, I added teh chicken back in. I then added the wine and balsamic vinegar. I let it cook for about 3min, to thicken more and then i added teh cooking cream. I cooked another 2min while I blended the cream in well.
Serving Size: 6 servings for hearty teen eaters. :D Could be 8 plus with smaller portions
