Mediterrainian chicken in the crockpot

Introduction

This was adapted to suit my family from a Ragu recipe. This was adapted to suit my family from a Ragu recipe.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 cut up whole chicken about 3 lbs
    1/2 onion
    1 jar of pasta sauce 1lb 8 oz jar
    1/2 c chicken broth
    pinch of cinnamon
    2 cloves garlic
    2 cups prepared long grain rice

Tips

buying a pre cut fryer chicken at the store cuts the prep time to about 10 minutes. having diced onion in the fridge or freeze will also cut down the prep time.


Directions

Mix all but the chicken and the rice in bottom of the crock pot. Stir well then add the chicken 1 piece at a time coating well with sauce. Cook 8-10 hr on low or 5-6 hr on high.
