Introduction

Did you know that during the 1930s waffle suppers were key events for church suppers? I though I would bring it back and make it healthier by adding fruit like apples an, blueberries and strawberries. Frozen works fine too! Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    3/4 cup all-purpose flour*
    1/2 cup whole what flour*
    1/4 cup cornmeal*
    1 egg
    1Tbs baking powder
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 cup fresh/frozen chopped fruit**

Tips

You can use 1 1/2 cup flour or 1 cup all-purpose flour with 1/2 cup whole wheat*
Use any frozen or fresh fruit**


Directions

mix ingredients except fruit. Pour some batter into the waffle maker then add blueberries or other chopped fruit.

Serving Size: Makes 2 thick belgium waffles
