Introduction

Ingredients

    Cabbage
    3/4 cup rice
    1 lb 90% ground beef
    1 egg, beaten
    1 onion,chopped
    5 large fresh tomatoes
    1/2 - 6oz can tomato paste
    1 tsp sugar
    1/4 tsp onion powder
    1/8 tsp garlic powder
    2 tsp worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

Place cabbage head in boiling water and cover. Cook until outer leaves are soft and are easily removed. Remove bottom of thick vein. Cook rice in 1 1/2 cup water until tender. Drain. Place in bowl with egg, ground beef and onion. Mix and set aside.Place tomatoes in blender and blend until smooth. Add tomato paste, sugar, salt, pepper,onion powder,garlic powder, worcestershire sauce. Take 1/4 cup meat/rice mixture and place on bottom of cabbage leaf. Fold edges inwards and roll up. Place in casserole dish. Continue with rest of leaves and meat mixture. Pour sauce over top. Cover casserole dish and place in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes.
