5 lbs of potatoes
1 stick of butter
1/4 cup flour
2.5 cups shredded cheddar
salt, pepper, garlic powder, and minced onions to taste
You can try different cheese such as fontina or gruyere.
2. In a large pan melt butter over medium low heat. Whisk in flour to a paste consistency and slow add the milk stirring constantly.
3. Season to taste. Remove from heat and mix in cheese stirring until fully melted.
4. Place potatoes in a baking dish and pour sauce over the top.
5. Bake for 1-2 hours testing potatoes as it cooks to ensure they are fully cooked.
