Ingredients

    1 cup sliced fresh peaches with skin
    3 cups sliced fresh apples skin removed
    2 slices of lemon squeezed
    1 1/2 cups water
    1/3 cup sugar
    1 Tablespoon of cinnamon
    1 1/2 cups water
    1 1/2 cups of old fashioned oatmeal
    1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Directions

1 cup sliced fresh peaches w/skin (cover in bowl of lemon water so it doesn't turn brown)
3 cups of sliced fresh apples (cover in bowl of lemon water so it doesn't turn brown).
Drain/rinse peaches and apples, place in sauce pan with a pinch of salt.
Add 1 1/2 cups of water. Add remaining ingredients except milk and oats. Stew until tender. Remove from heat. While still hot add milk and oats, fold until thickened. Let stand for 5 minutes.

Serving Size: makes 6 1/2 cups
