Spicy Peanut Butter Hummus

Submitted by: LOOLAH

Introduction

Peanut butter hummus is awesome if you don't have any tahini on hand but still want homemade hummus. Delicious with crackers, vegetables, or used as a spread on sandwiches. Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

1 Can chickpeas (I use Eden Organic)
1 Serving of smooth style peanut butter (I use Earth Balance)
1/2 Jalapeno pepper with seeds (use more or less to taste)
2 Tsp Sriracha (use more or less to taste)
    1 Tsp Olive oil
1 Tbsp Organic Shoyu (soy sauce)
Water (add a small amount as needed to keep hummus creamy)

*Optional: Chili powder, garlic powder, dried basil, cayenne powder, etc.

Directions

Rinse chickpeas. Put all ingredients into food processor. Process until smooth, adding a little bit of water as needed. Add more or less sriracha or jalapenos until desired spiciness is reached. Use any spices you have on hand to change up flavor.
