Introduction

A quick an easy soup that is both filling and nourishing, yet low in calories. A quick an easy soup that is both filling and nourishing, yet low in calories.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 Tablespoon Canola or vegetable oil.

    2 - 3 chopped onions

    250 grams dried soup mix ((Imbo barley, split pea, and lentil mix)

    1.5 - 2 litres water

    Powdered chicken stock to taste

    Salt and Pepper

Directions

Heat oil and gently fry onions until transparent.

Add + - 1.5 litres water and 250 grams DRY soup mix.

Add powdered chicken stock and salt and pepper to taste.

Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer with lid on until soup mix is soft and tender (around 40 minutes).

Serving Size: Makes about 8 generous bowls full.
