Ready-Serve Turkey Patties

Introduction

I bake these patties to reduce the fat content, but they are also excellent when fried. I bake these patties to reduce the fat content, but they are also excellent when fried.
Number of Servings: 14

Ingredients

    2 lbs Lean Ground Turkey
    1 1/2 cup bread crumbs
    1 large egg, beaten
    1 tbs onion powder
    1 tbs olive oil, or generous amount of non-stick olive oil spray

Tips

Can be served right away or frozen for later use. I like to serve mine with a bit of salsa and grated cheese on top.


Directions

mix ground turkey with onion powder and 1/2 cup bread crumbs. Divide into 14 equal portions and shape into patties. Dip patties in beaten egg, then in remaining bread crumbs. Oil baking sheet with generous amount of olive oil, or non-stick olive oil spray. Place breaded patties onto prepared baking sheet and bake at 375, turning patties after first 10 minutes. Continue baking until golden brown and meat is no longer pink inside. Total baking time approximation 20 minutes
