Oat Scones

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2.5 c. flour
    1/4 c. rolled oats
    1 t. baking soda
    1 t. cream of tartar
    2 T. sugar
    1/2 t. salt
    1/4 c. cold butter
    1 c. buttermilk

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix dry ingredients and add margarine w/pastry cutter until it's coarse crumbs. Pour in buttermilk and mix until dry ingredients are moistened. Pat into 3/4 thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 3/3 squares with pizza cutter. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown. Serve hot.
