Ingredients
-
- bowl of luke warm water
-1 package of hijiki(dried seaweed)
-1 to 3 large carrots
-2 or more potatoes(opt)
- green beans/ snap peas
-1 tbsp canola oil
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
-2 tbsp soy sauce
-1/2 cup fish flake drained water
Tips
Directions
1. put hijiki in a bowl of luke warm water to soak for 5-10 min( till soft)
2. cut carrots thinly, and so they are about the same size as the hijiki
3. cut and peel potatoes into 16ths
4. use a pressure cooker and cook the hijiki first with oil
5. then add the carrots, potatoes, and any other veggies/meat
6. add brown sugar and soy sauce
7. microwave water with fish flakes in it to get the stock, then take out flakes and pour in pressure cooker
8. when the yellow pin goes up, set a timer for 2 minutes before turning off heat
Serving Size: Makes a side for 4 people with leftovers for lunch so about 8 servings
