Date Nut Cookies

Introduction

These are wonderful...just over 100 calories per cookie. These are wonderful...just over 100 calories per cookie.
Number of Servings: 36

Ingredients

    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 cup peanut butter, smooth
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    1 egg
    1 1/2 cups white flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    8 oz pitted dates, chopped
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Beat thouroughly the butter, peanut butter and brown sugar. When fluffy, add cinnamon and egg, mix again. Add flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Mix to incorporate dry ingredients. Then add chopped dates and walnuts. Refrigerate dough for one hour at least. Using small scoop if you have it, place cookie dough on ungreased cookie sheets. Otherwise make ball with spoon. Flatten the cookies slightly with the palm of your hand. Bake at 350 for about 8 to 10 minutes.
