Easy Apple Cinnamon Waffles

Introduction

I created this recipe when my mom was visiting because I didn't want cereal for breakfast. It turned out quite yummy! I created this recipe when my mom was visiting because I didn't want cereal for breakfast. It turned out quite yummy!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 cups "just add water" buttermilk pancake mix
    1 1/4 cups water
    2 tbsp canola oil
    2 medium apples, peeled and diced
    1 tbsp cinnamon

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, combine pancake mix, water, and oil, then whisk until batter is fairly smooth.

Add chopped apples and cinnamon to batter and mix well.

Pour approximately 2/3 cup batter into hot waffle iron and close. Cook until steaming stops or slows, and waffle is golden brown.

Makes four servings. In my waffle iron, this is 8 waffle squares.
