Oven Pancake with Maple Topping

Introduction

This is an upside down recipe. The topping goes on the boottom of the pan and the pancake batter goes on top of it. When served, turn the "pancake" upside down to serve. This is an upside down recipe. The topping goes on the boottom of the pan and the pancake batter goes on top of it. When served, turn the "pancake" upside down to serve.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    3/4 C Brown Sugar
    1/3 C Butter or Margarine
    1/2 C Pure Maple Syrup
    1 1/2 C Heart Healthy Bisquick
    1 C 2% Milk
    2 Large Eggs

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a 1-quart saucepan, heat 1/2 C of the brown sugar, butter and 1/2 C maple syrup over low ehat, stirring occasionally, until butter is melted.
3. Pour into an UNGREASED 9" x 13" pan.
4. In a medium bowl, beat Bisquick mix, remaining brown sugar, milk and eggs with a wire whisk until blended.
5. Carefully pour batter over syrup mixture.
6. Bake uncovered for 30 - 5 minutes or until the top springs back when touched in center.

Serve immediately . . . but it can be reheated if needed.
