Split Pea Soup

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 pkg split peas (20 oz)
    12 c. water
    1 med. onion, diced
    1 carrot, diced
    4 T butter
    1.5 tsp salt
    .5 tsp pepper

Tips

I soak my peas overnight the night before I make it - otherwise you may need to add to the simmer time.


Directions

Combine Peas, water, onion, carrot & butter - cover and boil for 30 minutes. Add ham, salt and pepper and simmer for 30 minutes.

Serving Size: 1.25 cup
