Ancho Chile BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

    3 Dried Ancho chile peppers, stemed and seeded
    2 1/2 cups chicken stock
    1 cup ketchup
    2 Tbsp packed brown sugar
    2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    2 Tbsp maple syrup
    2 cloves garlic

Directions

Toast the chile peppersw over medium-high heat, pressing them flat with a spatula and turning occasionally for 2-3 minutes. Add the stock and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until chiles are tender. Puree in blender. Add remaining ingredients and puree. Add back to pan and boil on low 20 minutes.
