Crockpot Artisan Bread

Introduction

Make your own homemade bread in a crockpot!! Make your own homemade bread in a crockpot!!
Number of Servings: 30

Ingredients

    6 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 T. salt
    1 1/2 T. yeast
    3 c. warm water

Tips

One serving- 1 slice of bread. Each loaf makes approximately 10 slices.


Directions

In large bowl mix yeast and salt into water.
Stir in flour, mixing until there are no dry patches.
Cover & let rise 2 hr in a warm place.
After it has risen, store in airtight container in a refrigerator for up to a week.
TO BAKE ONE LOAF:
Cut off a grape-fruit sized lump of dough with a serrated knife.
Turn dough in hands until it has a rounded top and slightly lumpy bottom.Place dough on greased sheet of wax paper.
Place in crockpot.
Bake on high for about an hour and 15 minutes.
Bread is done when crust is FIRM to the touch.
Let cool completely before slicing.

Serving Size: Makes 3 loaves
