Shrimp Gumbo

Ingredients

    Two pkgs 31 count shrimp
    1 cup chopped celery
    1 cup chopped green pepper
    1 1/2 cup chopped carrots
    2 cups no salt added chicken broth
    2 tbsp flour
    1/4 cup butter
    1/4 cup cajun seasoning
    4 tbsp chopped chives
    3 minced garlic cloves

Directions

Added butter to wok, melt on medium heat. Stir in flour slowly and keep stirring until brown, add garlic and simmer for a few minutes. slowly add chicken broth. Add carrots and let simmer until carrots are cooked, add green pepper, celery, chives and cajun seasoning. Simmer additional 5 minutes, Add shrimp, simmer until shimp is thoroughly cooked. Serve over grits
