Introduction

Yummy version of Cincinatti Chili from Joy of Cooking Yummy version of Cincinatti Chili from Joy of Cooking

Ingredients

    2 lbs ground beef
    1 qt water
    15 oz tomato sauce
    2 onions, chopped
    6 cloves garlic
    .5 tsp cumin
    .5 tsp black pepper
    .5 tsp ground cloves
    2 T cider vinegar
    1 T lea & perrins worcestershire sauce
    .5 oz unsweetened baking chocolate (1/2 square)
    2 tsp cinnamon
    2 tsp salt

Tips


Directions

Boil water, add meat and boil until meat separates. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 2 hours. Options: Serve with spaghetti, cheddar cheese, onions, beans etc. to make it truly Cincinatti style!
