Easy Venison Shepard Style Casserole

Ingredients

    2 lbs venison, cubed
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    1/2 cup flour
    salt & pepper
    2 tbs butter
    2 cups beef broth
    1 lb frozen mixed vegetables
    1 lb frozen hash brown potatoes

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350.
Saute the venison, onions, and garlic in the butter until the venison is browned.
Add the flour and cook about 2 minutes longer.
Add in the beef broth and water if needed to make enough gravy.
Place the meat and gravy mixture into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Add the frozen mixed vegetables in an even layer.
Add the frozen hash brown potatoes in an even layer.
Cut into 8 equal squares to serve.

Note: This is even better topped with cheddar cheese (not included in nutritional information).
Place in a 350 oven for about 1 hour or until the potatoes are browned and the casserole is warmed through.
