Tuna, Canned in Water, 4 can
Egg, fresh, 3 large
Bread, white (white bread), 2 cup, crumbs
Parmesan Cheese, grated, .33 cup
2 tsp each Oregano, Parsley, Basil, Italian seasoning
2 tsp black pepper
1.5 cup Marinara Sauce-I make my own
.25 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese, (whole milk)
I make extra sauce and serve with whole wheat pasta and either salad or broccoli topped with lemon juice
In a small bowl, beat eggs slightly with a fork. Set aside. Drain tuna and dump into mixing bowl. Add eggs and mix with fork. Mix in bread crumbs,cheese, herbs and black pepper.
Next spread approx. .25 cup of the sauce into a deep 9 inch pie plate. Press tuna mixture into pie plate. Spread remaining cup of sauce over the tuna. Sprinkle with Mozzarella.
Place in oven and back approx. 40 minutes
Serving Size: Makes 8 pie sized piece
